About this service
A qualified-invoice registration is not something you check once and forget. Registrations are cancelled, they lapse, and published names and addresses change. Re-checking every counterparty at every transaction is not realistic; leaving it alone means finding out at invoicing time that the basis for your input tax credit had already moved.
Leave a registration number with this service and it emails you when something changes — cancellation and lapse, of course, but also changes to the published name or address. The email says what changed, so you can verify it against the National Tax Agency’s public site and take it up with the counterparty if needed.
For a one-off check, no account and no sign-in are required: type the “T” plus 13 digits and press the button.

Create an account
Continuous watching needs one. Register with an email address and set your password from the link in the confirmation email.

Add the numbers you want watched
Add your counterparties’ registration numbers. Give each one the name you use internally so that a notification tells you immediately who it concerns.

Wait for something to change
The published data is queried periodically, and any difference triggers an email. When one arrives, confirm it on the National Tax Agency’s public site and follow up with the counterparty as needed.
Pricing and cancellation
A single on-the-spot lookup is free and needs no sign-in, within a usage limit.
Continuous watching is Premium at JP ¥980/year (tax included). Detecting changes on registered numbers and notifying you is what the paid plan is for.
What to know before you start

This is not run by the National Tax Agency
It is a private service operated by Rewrite. The published data comes from the National Tax Agency’s Web-API, but there is no relationship with the agency. For official information, consult their public site.

It makes no tax judgements
Whether an input tax credit applies, whether a transitional measure is available, whether an invoice meets the statutory requirements — none of that is decided here. Only published data and its changes are shown. Ask a tax accountant for judgements.

You cannot search by name or address
Only lookup by registration number is offered. Searching for a business by company name is deliberately not provided.

No permanent public URL is created for a result
The service does not build a page per registration number and put it into search engines. Nobody’s registration status becomes searchable through this service.

- What can I do without paying?
- Check the status of one registration number on the spot. Watching it over time and being notified of changes is the paid feature.
- How many numbers can I watch?
- The Premium limit is stated on the pricing page. Get in touch if anything is unclear.
- How quickly do notifications arrive?
- Data is queried periodically, so there is a lag between publication and notification. It is not instant. For anything urgent, check the National Tax Agency’s public site.
- Will my counterparty know?
- No. The service only reads published information; nothing is sent to the other party.
